PM 5 Performance Monitor

Concept2 Indoor Rowers use the PM 5 performance monitors, the most advanced and sophisticated monitor yet, but still easy to use. You can use the monitor without ever having to touch a button, just start rowing and it will come on and record your workout. This monitor is what sets Concept2 apart from other training machines. The PM 5 provides comparable data that is accurate for every row. Compatible with USB flash drives makes workout storage simple, and being backlit helps make it so you can see how you are working out in the first place. You can also monitor you heartrate wirelessly since the PM 5 monitor is set up to receive form various types of heart rate belts.

Damper and Flywheel

You are in full control of how hard you work and the resistance on every stroke. You can change the feel of the stroke using the spiral damper of the indoor rower. This allows more or less air in to the flywheel housing to create the drag for your personal setting. To maximize a smooth feel and minimize noise the flywheel has a unique design incorporating multiple vanes.

Model E Height of Seat

The model E indoor rower seat height if 50.8 cm, this is about the same height as most chairs. That makes it easier to get on and off particularly if you are not as flexible as you used to be. In a club setting it stands tall and it fits in more with the other machines around.

More Leg for More Height

The Model E has a one piece leg design on both the rear and front legs to help support the 50.8 cm height. A solid sure footed feel and stability are the end result.

Mobility and Storage

With caster wheels on the front the Model E is easy to roll around, either fully assembled or just the front end. The Model E can be separated into two pieces to make it easier to move and easier to store. You can separate the machine using no tools at all since the frame lock is a quick release system.

Handle and Footrests

To make rowing more comfortable the ergonomic handle has a 10 degree bend which helps you row with your hands and arms in a more natural position. To help accommodate shoe sizes in of a wide range the footrests on the indoor rower adjust quickly and easily.

Durable Chain

The Model E has a chain that is nickel plated; it works hard and looks good.  Also on the Model E the chain housing is more enclosed so it helps keep the chain cleaner. The chain will feel smooth even with longer intervals between oiling.

Easy To Assemble

In just about 30 – 40 minutes you can assemble the Model E. There are a total of ten screws used to mount the monitor arm, front and rear legs, the best part is the tool required to screw them in is included! You also have to route the pickup cable through the monitor arm and bolt on the PM 5 monitor. There are clear illustrated instructions included.
